October 1st and it is officially Halloween season!
Hurray!!! Halloween season is finally here. I love the weather, the changing of the leaves, the trips to the farms to pick apples and pumpkins, the scary movies, the good home cooking and of course Halloween!!!
And speaking of cooking...here is a few vintage ads that I found and would like to share to spread the Halloween feel!

-Orange Mallow Yam Yums-1977
Kraft marshmallows, my favorite! I usually make the candied yams but with oranges too? Might be actually good! It is almost my favorite time of year (the fall!) and yams/sweet potato's are my favorite in the fall, and the Orange mallow yambake I actually might try!

Wake up with some 1950's coffee!
Good morning!!! What is a better way to wake up than to see a 1950's coffee commercial!
My grandmother still makes the instant maxwell house coffee! She even has the same jar that is shown in the video!!

Ambrosia Fruit salad- A retro summer dessert
I had this on my other blog, but it is oh so good I had to add it to this one!
My husband would always mention this fruit salad his step-dad used to make on the 4th of July every year...but he couldn't put his finger on what it contained....so we searched the internet and found it HERE
He was so sure this was the recipe! So we ran to the super market and got all the ingredients..and long to be hold it was it! HURRAY! I have never tasted it before, and when I did I was hooked.
It is the perfect dessert for the summer, especially on those hot days.

I of course used my Butterprint 4 qt pyrex mixing bowl =)
NOTE: I used DelMonte fruit cocktail & Pineapple chunks, also used Kraft mini marshmallows!
